In Geeks we trust - My US trip
I have two choices. SIA or MAS. I chose SIA. Because it is roomier.
Why should I settle for secondary when I can have the best?
I don't know about you. But I EVERYDAY also dream of being seated next to Takeshi Kaneshiro on a long haul flight.
This time, Sing (石欣卉) from the Singapore Superstar fame was seated next to me. She is famous, beautiful, AND she sings very well too. I sooo wish that I was a guy right there and then. But too bad, there are always "some things" in life that you can't change. *winks*
After 24 hours of flying-cum-transit later, I reached LA.
But my destination was San Francisco. Can you imagine my frustration when I realized that my flight flew past San Francisco before it touched down in LA? And I had to take a transit in LA to fly back to San Francisco. It's such a pain in the ass with all the flying and transiting. I was totally worn out. So dead tired like that can die.
Thank gawd my boss arranged a limo to pick me up from the San Francisco Airport to the hotel.
I sooo love to be pampered and get spoilt a little like that. A limo. Wheeeeee~ Niceeeee.
This is our headquarters in the Silicon Valley. The Silicon Valley in the US is equivalent to the Technology Park Malaysia (TPM) in M'sia. But of course, the Silicon Valley is so much mooooore bigger (10000 times maybe) than our TPM back home.
One thing for sure is that all the blocks in TPM can't even fit in a Googleplex. The Silicon Valley is REALLY that HUGE.
Here is Microsoft. Eventhough it's called Micro and Soft. But damn, it's friggin' GIGANTIC and hard like the CE-ME-NT (Windows versions).
My colleague drove me around the Silicon Valley after work. It is a very nice quaint place. The town is literally swamped with geeks. Everyone drives a hybrid, a Porsche, a Jaguar, a Merc, a BMW, and etc. My colleague has a car plate that says, "TCP Stack". This place really breeds geeks.
We stopped by at the Stanford University for some fun.

Ed note:
So sorry for the lack of updates. My boss locked us all up in the training room to fix things (the books, the slides, the chapters, the labs, the exam questions, and etc) for the new release. He's 100% Italian. He makes sure he gets 200% of what he has paid for. I just flew in to Austin yesterday evening and my boss had already handed me a list of things that need to be done in the Austin office. Sigh. My life sux. I don't even have time to meet boys. Cow boys. To be precise. Anyway, I'll try to keep you posted on my trip if time allows. Stay tuned and behave yourself. Lots of loves, cows, and hugs from Texas.
