My 4x4 trip to Berembun Waterfall in Raub, Pahang
Ed note: Super long post ahead. Read at your own risk.
7 early 8 early, we sudah started our journey to the Berembun Waterall which is located in Raub, Pahang.

Waiting for the rest of the gang near Gombak/Genting TollEveryone was kindda sexcited because it has been a while since the last time we all woke up so early to gather, drive, hike, trek, and play. Play with water summore. *Hiak Hiak Hiak*

Yummilicious breakfast in Raub's PasarWe stopped by at the Raub's Pasar for some breakfast. We tried out the locals favourite white and black soya drinks. The steamed bread with Kaya and butter is super smooth and can instantly melt-in-your-mouth, while the homemade Wan Tan Mee in delicious and crunchy. And the steaming hot Char Siew Pau is a must-try.

This is our tour guide, Uncle Shui (Water)The Berembun Waterfall can only be accessed by a 4WD. It is located behind a slope. The road leading up to the waterfall can be treacherous and muddy at times. Thus why we enlisted the help of Uncle Shui and his 4x4 gang to drive us up to the hill top with their 4x4 vehicles. The rental for a 4x4 vehicle is RM160 and it can carry up to 5 or 6 people per vehicle. The ride takes about an hour or so per way.

My first four-some rideThe bumpy 4x4 ride was sibeh the awesome. Just like sitting on a car seat installed with OSIM massaging functions. But this one is 'natural', it does not run on electricity, nor can you program it. In addition, there is no cover, no seatbelt, and no nothing. Only speed and bump and speed and bump and speed and bump. You can be flung out of the vehicle at anytime. Pure fun and sexcitement! But if you are with kids, Uncle Shui and gang will drive the vehicles with care and consideration. They cater their 4x4 driving skills and techniques in accordance with their customers' requests.

Ooops... Trapped by the bamboosWe met a lot of accidents were trapped by a lot of 'fallen trees' on our way to the hill top.

Yay, we had stomped the trees!!!But we managed to overcome all the 'obstacles' that were thrown in our way with grace. Using a parang of course. *winks* ;)

'Camwhore' is our middle namesThe place is soooo breathtakingly beautiful that we had to stop for a few gawdzillion times to capture our striking poses with the scenic nature.

Group pictureWe have arrived! This is the entrance to the main waterfall and also the road end for our 4x4 ride.

Getting ready to splash! It takes about 10-15 mins to jungle trek from the entrance to the main waterfall.

Yay! Water~This is the rapids from the falls. It's soooo beautiful! Majiam 'overseas' liddat. Didn't know that M'sia also got such a touristy + picturesque Jurassic view.

The main waterfall + The pool is quite deepThis place is an untouched + unexplored virgin gem tucked deep in the Pahang jungle providing retreat privacy for those who are daring and adventurous!

Crystal clear waterThe water in the pool is crystal clear. We were the only tourists there on that day. The waterfall belongs to us and us only! *Hiak Hiak Hiak*

More jungle trekkingSince we are a bunch of insatiable daredevils, we ventured deeper into the jungle by climbing up the slope on the right side of the main fall to get to the upper fall.

Jungle trekking can help you lose weightThe one hour climb cum jungle trekking made me feel like I have lost at least 3KGs of lards from my heavy thighs plus my bottom also felt like it had been reduced at least one and a half inch in size. Damn good slimming exercise. Should do this everyday.

Why did thechicken Titoki cross the stream? We need to cross the stream to continue our journey to reach the top fall. However, since the current of the rapids was so strong and the water was so deep liddat, your beloved Ms Titoki was also very scared like a pile of chicken shit liddat. The guys had no choice but to make a human bridge to help her (and the other headless chicken) to cross the stream.

So pandai laugh at peopleAbuthen hor, that pandai-pandai punya Titoki go and laugh at the others after she had successfully crossed the stream...

Declare water war with the chickenThat's why she kena water-bombed back from all directions! 睇你死没?! *Ngek Ngek Ngek*

The upper fall in a steep ravineWe had lotsa fun here in the upper fall. The boulder's slope is a perfect water slide made by nature. I tried the slide for at least three times. Until the third thrill, where a leech got attached to my upper chest area and gave me a love bite.

Leech said, "I lurve u, Titoki."Fortunately I discovered it early (I have super-sensitive skin) and managed to flick it away before it sunk its teeth deep into my veins. But the damage had already been done. And I got myself a 'souvenir'.

Aaaaaaarrggghhhh~ LEECH!!!When the leech was first discovered on my chest, I screamed my lungs out. It was too geli to remove it with my own hands. Thus I asked the guys nearby me to flick it away for me but DAMN. Everyone of them was so scared to help me because they are afraid that I'll slap their face once they have removed it for me (coz it's located near my chest area) or what if their hands shake and the leech fell and dropped inside my bra, then lagi worse... I'll FOR SURE definitely slap 9 them no escape. LOL! That's why I have no choice but to remove it myself. All I can say is that the leech is sticky and wet and SUPER the geli soft. YUCK~

*Shudder Shudder Shudder*My friends too, everyone of them, also kena some tender loving bite from the hair-raising leeches.

Two big fat leeches for your perusalHold your jaw! Here is an enlarged picture of the two blood-sucking leeches on my friend's leg for you to enjoy. Soooo the geli liddat can die aitelyu.

A friend is for taking your picture when she sees you sufferWhile teh friend is suffering from teh shock and teh pain, teh Titoki go and take people's punya pictures. Summore ordered teh friend not to move and must sit still-still for her to snap teh leeches. (Told ya, never ever befriend a blogger coz they all no heart one. Only care about their blogs and never your hairy leg.) *Hiak Hiak Hiak*

Cepat lariAnd the fate of the two over-fed leeches: One lari and one mati (see pic below).

Or else sure matiLooking at the dead leech and the scattered blood makes me wonder whether human diseases can be spread through the leeches too? I mean if the leech sucked at a HIV+ patient yesterday and then today it sucked at you, will you be infected with the AIDS virus too? Scary thought lor.

Blood oozing outOne thing I realised is that if you use salt to remove an attached leech, you won't have an unstoppable bleeding. Or else, your wound will bleed like a raining CB. However, according to Wiki, it's not advisable to use salt or any other inflammable means to remove an attached leech because it'll regurgitate its stomach contents into the wound and may increase the risk of infection. Interesting huh?!

Time to say goodbyeAfter having a fun-filled day seeing each other kena bitten by the leeches and playing water Chimpanzees, it's time to return to the civilization.

The n00bs used a towel as a shield/umbrella *Muahahaha*It was raining cats and dogs on our 4x4 ride back to the Raub village.

*Ngek Ngek Ngek* I got a rain coatLucky I got bring my own rain coat... *Hiak Hiak Hiak*

Super wet & shivering TitokiBut still, I got drenched from head to toe thanks to the rain. With the heavy downpour and chilly wind, I almost become a frozen meat pie. Lips also turned blue.

Uncle Shui's wife made us hot drinksWe were quickly ushered in to Uncle Shui's house for some hot drinks and warm shower. Both Uncle Shui and wife are friendly and helpful people. My spare pair of pants was wet, his wife quickly offered me their daughter's pants until mine is ironed dry! *gum dooong* :)

Curry fish for dinner! Yummy! After much showering and shopping dilly-dallying, we went to the world-famous Ratha's Restaurant in the Raub town for some hot curry meals! I especially love their curry seafood pot.

Wah, so sexpensive meh?The bill came to a whopping RM250 for 16 hungry mouths. It is worth it! And we are worth it! ;)
