Works of art
I went back to Kampar to visit my grandmother last weekend.
My first five years were spent roaming in this land which I fondly called my kampong.
And on Sunday, I've got the luxury to meet her, Madame C.
There is a saying goes, "Beautiful young people are accidents of nature. But beautiful old people are works of art."
To me, she is one of the most beautiful people I have ever met in my life and she is our neighbour.
Madame C is about my grandma's age (83 years old) but she still can bend like this daily to do her garden chores. Amazing, isn't it?
She gave us some eggplants from her plot.
I paid her RM4 as a token of appreciation. But she accepted RM2 from me only. I really admire her honesty & integrity.
This is my grandma. But she long time cannot bend liddat liao lor.
As our friendly neighbour puts it, "We must forever keep ourselves active to be healthy. Don't rely on the maid and others too much as it will make us become lazy and clumsy." I couldn't agree more.
And I can certainly double, triple or even quadruple bet with you that this lovely & bubbly Madame C has never ever been to a gym in her life before.
