Chinese New Year is around the corner...
It's the year of the Rat. And Mickey Mouse rules the world starting 7 Feb 2008.

Why is there a double happiness word (for wedding) appearing on an apparent CNY t-shirt?Instead of eat full and do nothing (like most weekends), last Sat I went to walk-walk & see-see in Petaling Street to feel the CNY heat.
Why?
You buy, I oso buy lah. You squeeze, I oso squeeze lah. You kiasu, I oso kiasu lah. So easy liddat oso dunno meh?

A new pusssssy... willow bud... Ngek Ngek NgekI love CNY. It signifies everything new. The pussy willow bud represents a new beginning and a good fortune ahead.

Everyone is fighting for NEW pussies!Everywhere I go, I see people mountain people sea. Everyone wants it 'new'. The Pussy Willows lah. *winks*
New clothes. All red. The Chinese tradition STATES that no other colour is allowed. If you wear any other colour other than red, you are labeled as an odd ball. Your cat will leave you. Your folks will disown you. And your ancestors will roll in their graves.
On most days, shop like this sells incense (for praying and burying). When the Chinese New Year comes, it'll 'change wind' and sell CNY deco stuff. Very smart hor? This is what we called the Malaysian-style's punya Survival of the Fittest.
In the old days, the Chinese BBQ pork is handmade and homemade.
Nowadays, the Chinese BBQ pork is machine-made, which I think is lack of sincerity. As the Titoki's saying goes: "No charcoal = no taste. No sweat = no smell. No hard work = no heart."
Gimme good old Chinese BBQ pork with lotsa soot, sweat, and hard work!!!
This is sticky cake. Some people like it steaming hot. Some people like it frying hot. And some people just left it cold, hard, and unfulfilled. *winks*
Mommy said, "Kids must eat the sticky cake to grow tall-tall. New couple must eat the sticky cake to stay long-long & sweet-sweet. The Kitchen God must eat (must be fed with) the sticky cake so that his mouth will be 'glued' (thanks to the gooeyness in sticky cake) and thus cannot badmouth you in front of the Jade Emperor in Heaven." ;)
CNY won't feel like a CNY without the salty duck meat and pork belly. In old China, meat is rare during winter time. Thus some yellow-yellow dirty Chinese fellow, i.e., your ancestor or maybe my ancestor, had invented the "let-the-natural-cold-air-blow-dry-meat" method to preserve raw meat for CNY.
This auntie is the famous Sweet-Potato Balls seller. If you go to her stall after 12PM, you'll get no balls at all. Her 'balls' are really that popular. *winks*
This uncle sells Kuih Apong. The groundnuts filling in the dough will melt in your mouth when you eat it hot.

Rainbow mochis: Dragron Fruits, Mangoes, Kiwi Fruits, and etc. This Ah Soh here sells Malaysian-style Mochi. The Japanese-style Mochi is filing-inside-the-dough one. While the Malaysian-style Mochi is nuts-cover-outside-the-dough.
Oh BTW, us Malaysians lurve cats. Be it skinned alive or dead. We lurve cats. We lurve them so much that we even make a dessert drink out of it...

Cats' Eyes WaterDear Cats, we Malaysians reaaaally lurve you so much. Meow. Not forgetting that since this year is the year of the Rat. You'll have unlimited supplies of baby RATS (see pic below) for meals. Yum Yum. You likey or not jek?
Last but not least, Titoki 在此祝各位鼠年得意!
