Teacher, what's the meaning of 'Public Servant'?
Dear class,
Today let us learn a new word...
Public Servant (noun), which means:-
"Someone who holds a government position (either by election or appointment)."
In other words, we cast vote for this person to serve us, and NOT vice-versa. We are the masters and they are the slaves. Please remember that.
But very unfortunately, nowadays many people become forgetful. They forget about their roles, they forget about their duties, they forget about their promises, and they can even forget about the things they said yesterday.
These people need a good spanking on their butts. Just like when you forget to do your homework, Ms Titoki had to use a rotan to spank your butt real HARD liddat to remind you of your unfinished assignment.
Class, here is another real-life example.
Ms Titoki's aunt has a maid. The maid worked for my grandma (now departed), her ex-employer, for a few years before my aunt took her in and let her continue working in her house until her contract finishes.
Abuthen and since then, the maid has self-promoted herself to become the boss in the house. Dictating and commanding everything and anything like she owns the place.
When my aunt tried to teach her how to wash veges or cut fruits, she'll bark back at her, "Hey, I have been here for more than three years. I know how to do my work. You don't have to teach me. You think I 'lulu' fresh from Jawa one ah?"
Summore this woman very fake one. She sees human, she speaks human language. She sees ghost, she speaks ghost language. Friends or relatives who drive nice cars, she'll offer herself to wash their cars for them FREE of charge, polish their shoes, iron their clothes, and etc. While those who drive Kancil or Kelisa (like your beloved Ms Titoki), she won't even bother to bat her eyelashes at them. Coz short and yellow-skinned people like you and me don't exist in her view. Oh BTW, she colour-blind one. She can see brown only (selectively).
On top of that, this woman also won't hesitate to help herself to the food/fruits first before serving it to us. The nice food/fruits on the table sure missing a huge portion one. While the not-so-nice food/fruits, shewon't touch will save it for us. And then she will smile and say sweetly "See? I'm so nice to you. I got cut fruits for you leh. You better be nice to me too... renew my contract and such, so that I will stay longer. If I'm gone, no one will cut fruits for you anymore."
Mahai. Nabeh. Ptui. Yeah right. (Sorry for swearing, teacher cannot help it). Like everyone cannot live without her liddat. Every nice food we bought, she'll help herself to it first. Every meal she put on the table is tainted with her saliva. Come on lah friend, how do you expect people to eat and swallow your dirtied food/fruits liddat? You think we all blind one ah?! You think we all 'lulu' fresh from Jinjang one ah?
My aunt is of course pissed to the max by the maid's approach and attitude. She can't wait for her contract to finish, send her back home, and then get herself a new maid.
And guess what, the maid's contract is expiring this coming 8 March 2008! Everyone in the family can't wait to wave bye bye to the cheebye maid who thinks she's the boss in the house. It will be a sexciting day for everyone (and also everyone's wildest dream) to see her vanish among the trees and bushes. WuahaHAhaha.
There is a Chinese saying goes (made famous by President Deng), "不管黑猫白猫，会捉老鼠就是好猫。", which literally translates to: "Don't care black or white cat, any cat that catches rat(s)is a good cat."
Old one don't go, new one won't come. If you keep staying with the old one because of familiarity, you are sooo farked like Edison Chen. You won't know what you are missing.
As my aunt remarked, "If I can get her in today, I can get her out tomorrow. If I can give her chance today, I can also give chance to another person tomorrow. What matters most to me is that, she knows her place and she can carry and perform the duties I trusted upon her."
