Grandma is 83 years old

Got a few people asked me, "Hey TITOKI, why are you so good one? Everytime your grandma’s birthday you will sure go back to your hometown one."

I will usually smile and reply, "I just want to accompany her as much as I can (while she is still around) and I want to see her happy."

Grandma is getting old. She needs help to wear her own clothes. The problem is that she feels embarassed to ask others to assist her. She'd rather spend more time fumbling over the buttons herself.

She doesn’t have much energy to scold people like she used to. And she sleeps a lot lately.

I really don’t know how many more birthdays she will be around with us (Of course I hope that there will be many more to come).

That’s why I am doing my bit now as a granddaughter to make each of her birthdays a memorable one for her and for myself, so that I can keep and cherish all these wonderful moments in my heart forever.

Grandma, I just want to tell you that I love you (eventhough I am too shy to say it in front of you) and I hope that you will always be happy and healthy.

Ed note: One of the reasons why I blog is to share the precious moments in my life with my loved ones who are based in overseas. YEAH, I'm talking about YOU, YOU and YOU!!!
