Celebrating X'mas with family

I'm not a Christian. But I love Christmas just like everyone else. Must be because of the Christmasy atmosphere. The food, songs and lights that give you a warm and fuzzy feeling and make you mellow.

Every year without fail, we will celebrate Christmas cum Dong Zhi at my youngest aunt's house. She will cook up a storm in her kitchen to prepare a feast fit for a king or queen for the double celebrations.

This is my dinner plate. Yum Yum! ;)

My little cousin Fern is entertaining us with Christmas songs.

See, I've saved some turkey crumbs for you ler! *wink wink*

Anyone fancy a kiss under the mistletoe?

Maybe because I'd been away from home to study in overseas since I was 15, I long and value every opportunity to celebrate festivals with my family members.

Especially with my dad's health deteriorating each day, I'm grateful for his presence in every waking moment of my life. I'll try my best to be there for him be it big or small family occasions.

There is a Chinese saying goes, "树欲静而风不止,子欲养而亲不在".

It literally means, sometimes we don't know how to appreciate our loved ones until they no longer exist. Or sometimes we don't realise the importance of things until we have lost it.

I'm not a good daughter. I'm actually very selfish.

I'm CREATING and KEEPING all these happy memories for myself so that one day when I look back, I will have no regrets.

So how's your Christmas? Did you celebrate it with your loved ones? Did you kiss your favourite girl/guy under the mistletoe? Did Santa bring you any pressie?

I hope your Christmas is as great as mine. :)
