Titoki and her lanjiao F.R.I.E.N.D.S

I realise that the older we get, the harder it is for us to find true friends.

True friends who will...
• not feel jealous of your achievement.
• not feel threatened by your success.
• congratulate you whole-heartedly on your accomplishment.
• not compete with you.
• not stab you at the back when you are not looking.
• stand by you when you need support.
• let you cry on their shoulders when times are tough.
• lend you their ears when you need to rant.
• share with you.
• are truthful and sincere.

Rome is not built in one day. So is friendship. It takes a lot of tears and sweat to build up the base and then the structure. And without a solid foundation that can withstand the harshest of weathers, it will disintegrate and collapse easily and eventually.

I'm blessed to have a few of you, who will STILL say the following to me after I threw my tantrums right at your face,

"Titoki, you are damn siao, straightforward and bitchy to the max CAN DIE. But still, I love you for who you are because you are 'true'. Eventhough we don't see each other everyday, I'm glad that I have you as my friend."

Instead of getting mad at me, you have already forgiven me with a smile. I can only say that YOU FARKER absolutely know how to punish my conscience and make me feel guilty for my own words and actions.

That's why I called you my true friend because we...
• don't polish each other's shoes,
• can say out loud what is on our mind, and
• definitely don't fake it.

Ed note:
Some people erect an invisible wall so high that no one can get close to them. Just because they are afraid of being hurt and betrayed. Are these people being smart or are they being stupid? Please enlighten me.
