Dr Bernard Chan
Sometimes I wonder if you guys understand ENGLAND or not. I told you already that I'm quitting blogging and you still wanna cum here everyday for fuk sake ka?! This space got gold meh?!
Anyway, back to my topic today, Dr Bernard Chan.
1. He is a doctor.
2. He reads my blog. *kembang*
3. He likes my cheebye aunts' family saga series very da much. *kembang until pecah*
4. He told me that I look like his sister. *LOL*
5. He is nominated for Best New Medical Weblog 2006 by MedGadget.
6. He has a lot of tummy-churning, heart-hammering, legs-shuddering and make-your-voice-hoarse-with-screaming gross-out pictures on his blog. If you don't believe me, click here.
Seriously speaking, from the bottom of my heart, what I like about him and his blog is that he shows his readers an approachable side of doctors that is rarely seen in the real world.
He is willing to answer silly question like the following posted by your beloved Ms Titoki:
"Doc, could peri-anal abscess be caused by anal sex?"
And his reply:
"Titoki, anal sex could cause trauma to the skin which might lead to infection and abscess."
Tell me my friend, how many docs nowadays will bother to explain and teach n00bs like us about healthcare and medical stuff like rectal cancer, colorectal polyps, and duodenal ulcer bleed?
I think the answer is NO. Nada. Nil. Zip. Zero. Zilch.
Most docs that I have met are either humsup or they have this mentality:
Just bloody do what you are told and you'll be fine!!!
But hey, could you at least tell me what it is? What causes it? What's the prevention? What's the treatment? And what's the chance of survival?
And then their usual response will be: "很难说, 看情形, 听天由命吧!"
Loosely translated it means: "Very difficult to say. It depends!"
You say KNNCCB or not?
That aside, reading Dr Bernard's blog makes me feels 'smart'. Just like watching CSI can make you feel 'smart' liddat. You get what I mean or not? *Muahahahaha*
So girls and guys, please go read him today or else it'll be your loss. *winks*
